The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is an Australian government program that helps cover the cost of basic dental services for children aged 0-17. Eligible children and teenagers get access to up to $1,052 over two calendar years for essential dental services.

The $1,052 benefit is effective 1 January 2023, and could change every year. The services covered include examinations, X-rays, cleanings, fissure sealants, fillings, root canals, and extractions.

Learn How the Child Dental Benefits Schedule Works for Dental Treatment

With the CDBS, eligible children and teenagers can be cared for with an incredible two-year cover. No registration is needed; once your child is eligible, you will be notified via mail.

Schedule an appointment with Dental @ Niddrie.

Book an appointment at Dental @ Niddrie and inform our staff that you'll be using the Child Dental Benefits Schedule fund to cover your child's dental expenses.

Come to your appointment.

Upon your arrival, present your Medicare card, and the dentist will assess your child to find out if any treatment is required and give you an accurate cost.

Enjoy the treatment.

Signing the consent form allows your child to access high-quality dental treatment through CDBS. Furthermore, you can trust that their experience with us will be secure and extraordinary!

Submit a claim.

Claiming your child's CDBS benefit could not be easier - simply present your Medicare card, and our dental staff will take care of the entire process for you.

Eligibility Requirements for Child Dental Benefits Schedule

To be eligible for this program, the child must be 0-17 years old and qualify for Medicare. Also, at least one family member must receive an approved payment from the Australian Government during that same financial year.
